At about 2:15 am, on Saturday, May 21, 2011, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person (described as a white male in his 30’s wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans) waving a firearm around in the area of Warren and Dudley Streets. On arrival, officers observed and located an individual who matched the description of the suspect sitting on a bench near the Dudley MBTA Bus Station. Upon seeing the suspect, officers noted that the suspect’s hands were concealed. Given their inability to see the suspect’s hands, officers promptly instructed the suspect to make visible his hands. A frisk (a patting down of the suspect’s outer clothing to determine the presence of a weapon) was conducted and enabled officers to locate and take possession of a loaded firearm.
Officers arrested Mitchell Flint, 38, of Utah and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Loaded Firearm on a Public Way.
