B&E Suspect Caught “Holding the Bags”

This morning around 3:21AM, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to the intersection of Huntington Ave. and Parker St. for a breaking and entering to a car in progress. En route, officers were updated with a suspect description stating that the suspect, a Hispanic male wearing a dark baseball cap and khaki jacket, was carrying three backpacks walking on Huntington St. toward Leon Street.
On arrival, officers observed several Northeaster University officers with an individual matching the suspect description. There, officers learned that the caller/witness observed the suspect smash the window of a car and then take something out of the car. Per the witness, he called out to the suspects after he saw him but the suspect only quickened his pace. The witness was brought to the suspect’s location where he positively identified him.

The suspect, Ricardo Garcia, 41 of Boston was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, Larceny from a Motor Vehicle and Receiving Stolen Property. Once arrested, officers found a laptop computer in one of the bags, several school books in another and a Garmin GPS.
