At about 7:37am, on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, an officer performing a paid detail in the area of Boylston and Gloucester Streets responded to a radio call for a motor vehicle being vandalized. On arrival, the detail officer spoke to the victim who stated that he observed a former employee vandalize his work van. Specifically, the victim says he watched the suspect approach his van and slash his tire. The victim says he heard a loud noise, presumably the tire being popped or slashed, when the suspect got close to his car. Officers observed a large gash in the rear driver’s side tire, as well as, scratch marks on the van. A search of the area enabled officers to locate the suspect in the area of 475 Boylston Street.
Once located, officers arrested Chris DeVincent, 43, of Haverill and charged him with the Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property.
