At about 11:50am, on Monday, April 18, 2011, officers performing a paid detail at Fenway Park for the game between the Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays were called to assist Fenway security personnel who were in the process of ejecting an unruly fan from the park. Officers observed an individual who appeared to be heavily intoxicated verbally abusing park employees. Officers promptly intervened and escorted the fan from the park without incident. However, once outside, the fan attempted to re-enter the park. When told re-entry was not an option, the fan, demanding that his ticket be returned, began to verbally disrespect the officers.
Officers arrested Paul Goodhue, 33, of Beverly and charged him with Being Disorderly.
