At about 2:27am, on Saturday, April 2, 2011, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for motor vehicle accident in the area of Washington Street and School Street. On arrival, officers observed a motor vehicle with heavy damage and two female occupants still inside the car. Officers further observed personnel from both EMS and the Boston Fire Department working to remove both occupants. Once removed, both occupants were transported to the Boston Medical Center. The operator of the car, a 39 year-old mother of three, was suffering from life threatening injuries and later pronounced at the hospital. The passenger stated that a motor vehicle, attempting to pass them, struck their vehicle and caused the accident.
