BODY FOUND IN WATERS OFF SUMMER STREET & PAPPAS WAY

At about 11:50am, on Thursday, February 10, 2011, officers assigned to the Boston Police Harbor Patrol responded to a call for a body seen floating in the water in the area of Pappas Way and Summer Street. The report was supported by a Massachusetts State Police Trooper who confirmed seeing the body while patrolling in that area. On arrival, members of the Harbor Patrol, as well as members of the Boston Fire Department, located and recovered the body of a 36 year-old male. The preliminary investigation indicates there were no obvious signs of trauma on the victim. 

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact District C-6 (South Boston) detectives at (617) 343-4742.
