STEALING CHIPS OUT OF THE HOSPITAL CAFÉ IS A GOOD WAY TO GET IN TROUBLE

At about 9:18pm, on Saturday, January 8, 2011, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a larceny in progress at the Carney Hospital. On arrival, officers spoke to security personnel who stated that several individuals were seen breaking into the cafeteria by lifting the metal grate, which locks and secures the cafe. Suspects were seen stealing various items from the café. Upon locating and approaching the suspects, officers observed the suspects to still be in possession of many of the items taken from the café. When officers attempted to speak to the suspects about the incident, the suspects began to verbally disrespect and disparage the officers.

When officers attempted to handcuff one of the suspects, the suspect being handcuffed and others began to physically push and punch the officers. As a result, several arrests were made.

The following suspects were arrested and charged accordingly:

Adriana Gomez, 17, of Boston charged with Breaking and Entering, Resisting Arrest, Trespassing, Assault & Battery on a Police Officer.

Marisol Perez, 21, of Boston charged with Breaking and Entering, Resisting Arrest, Trespassing, Assault & Battery on a Police Officer.
