POLICE ARREST THREE TRYING TO FORCE THEIR WAY INTO BARNEY’S GRILL

About 9:10pm, on Sunday, January 9, 2011, officers from Area A-7 (East Boston) responded to a radio call for an altercation at 299 Havre Street (Barney\’s Grill) in East Boston. On arrival, officers spoke to employees of the establishment who stated four males were denied entry into the bar after they attempted to force their way in. Upon being denied entry, the suspects began to push and punch the employees working the front door. According to one employee, the suspects punched him in the chest and face and then fled on foot. Officers noted that the employee had visible injuries to his face and mouth.

A search of the area enabled officers to locate three individuals who looked like the suspects. Officers noted that the suspects had fresh cuts and scratches on their hands and knuckles. When asked how they came to have the injuries, the suspects stated they obtained the injuries a day earlier. While officers were questioning the suspects, the victim was brought to the scene. Once on scene, the victim looked at the suspects and positively identified them.

Officers arrested Francisco Galdamez, 24, of Boston, Oscar Carranza, 29, of Boston, Arturo Sosa, 24, of Boston and charged all three with Assault & Battery
