The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help to help find a car described as a silver Jeep Cherokee with front end damage (possibly headlight damage also) that hit a six-year old girl and fled the scene.
About 8:20PM tonight, Saturday, January 8, 2011, officers from District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) responded to the intersection of Cambridge St. and Harvard Ave. for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
On arrival, officers located a six year old girl suffering life-altering head trauma. The child was transported to Children’s Hospital in serious condition where she is currently receiving treatment.
The facts and circumstances surrounding this incident are currently being investigated by District D-14 Detectives.
