RUNNING FOR NO REASON LANDS ONE IN POLICE CUSTODY

At about 10:36pm, on Monday, October 11, 2010, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force stopped to talk to a group of young adults hanging out in the area of 125 Quincy Street on Area B-2 (Roxbury). As officers approached the group, one member of the group took off on foot. While pursuing the suspect on foot, officers watched as the suspect clutch at his waist area in such a way as if to suggest he was in possession of a weapon. While following behind the suspect, officers watched the suspect hop and break a fence in the area of 122 and 124 Quincy Street.

Officers were able to catch up to and take the suspect into custody. A search of the immediate area for weapons proved unsuccessful. However, a search of the suspect enabled officers to locate and take possession of a Class B Drug.

Officers arrested Kris Jordan, 24, of Boston and charged him with Trespassing, Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property and Possession of a Class B Drug.
