UPDATE: DEATH INVESTIGATION IN THE AREA OF 841 BOYLSTON STREET

POLICE ARREST SUSPECT WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE INCIDENT

At about 11:50pm, on Friday, April 30, 2010, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a call for a person stabbed in the area of 841 Boylston Street. On arrival, officers located a male suffering from what appeared to be stab wound. The victim, suffering from life threatening injuries, was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced. The victim was later identified as Beau Youngs, 22, of Boston.

After a complete and thorough investigation, one in which witness cooperation played a pivotal role, members of the Boston Police Homicide Unit were able to identify and name an individual wanted for questioning in connection with the stabbing. That individual was later charged with the crime.

On Saturday, May 8, 2010, detectives assigned to the Boston Police Homicide Unit located and arrested Kevin James, 43, of Boston and charged him with Murder. James will be arraigned on Monday, May 10, 2010, at Boston Municipal Court.
