Last night, Monday, April 19, 2010 around 6:56PM, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan and Dorchester) responded to 20 Irma Street in Dorchester for a person shot.

On arrival, officers located a 22 year-old male black suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical center where he was pronounced a short time later.

The Boston Police Department Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
