UPDATE: Death Investigation at 31 Leyland Street, Dorchester

Homicide Victim Identified

On Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at approximately 10:20pm, Boston Police officers assigned out of Area B-2, responded to 31 Leyland Street, Dorchester for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located a black male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the hallway of the building. Boston EMS transported the victim to Boston Medical Center for treatment. The victim later succumb to his wounds and was pronounced.

The victim has been identified as Bernard Brown, 43, of Dorchester.

Boston Police Homicide Detectives are actively investigating the facts and circumstances of this incident.
