On Wednesday, March 31, at approximately 12:21am, Boston Police Officers assigned out of Area D-4 responded to 633 Shawmut Avenue, Roxbury for a report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper leg. Boston EMS was called to the scene and transported the victim to Boston Medical Center for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Officers conducted a preliminary investigation that showed the victim and his friends were standing on the side of Shawmut Avenue when a “grey vehicle” drove by them. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle proceeded by them a second time. This time, the front seat passenger (black male – brown hoodie), fired multiple shots at the group, striking one of them in the upper thigh. The vehicle then fled down Shawmut Avenue towards Melnea Cass Blvd.
Officers were unable to locate the suspect vehicle and are requesting the community’s assistance in bringing these individuals to justice.
