Two Suspects Arrested for Breaking into Roslindale School

This afternoon around 3:37PM, officers from District E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to 15 Basile Street/Sumner School in Roslindale for an alarm call which indicated motion in the cafeteria and lobby area.

On arrival officers checked the perimeter of the school and discovered an open door at the basement level. Officers observed the window next to the door to be open which provided access to an open door.  Officers entered the building and systematically searched the building. As officers ascended to the third floor, they observed two figures shrouded in the darkness. Officers approached the two figures and as they did so, the two suspects took off running. Officers pursued the two suspects and one of the two was apprehended after he stumbled and fell while running down the stairs. The second suspect was pursued outside the school and with the assistance of concerned, cooperating citizens caught and placed under arrest in front of 4170 Washington Street.

Suspects, Jean S. Altime, 19, of Hyde Park and Alfred Altine, 20, of Roslindale were arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering in the daytime.
