Man Arrested on “John” Charges…Officers Locate Crack CocaineOn Thursday, August 20, 2009, at approximately 4:03am, officers assigned to Area B-2 (Roxbury), were patrolling the area of Blue Hill Avenue when they observed a White Ford Expedition (Massachusetts Registration: 443DH6), continuously circling the block and speaking with known prostitutes.
Several minutes later, the vehicle was again observed traveling on BHA and pulled over to the side of the street. A black female then exited the vehicle. This female was immediately recognized by officers as a known prostitute. The female was detained and identified. Officers stopped the White Expedition to further investigate the matter.
Officers asked the male operator to step from the vehicle to which he complied. The operator then became aggressive and raised his arm as if he were going to strike the officer with his elbow. At this time, back-up units arrived and assisted in securing the suspect. While doing so, one of the officers observed the suspect to throw an item to the floor of his vehicle. Upon further inspection, officers located Five (5) plastic bags of crack cocaine and an unknown pill wrapped in plastic as the item the suspect discarded. A Registry of Motor Vehicle’s check showed the operator’s license status to be suspended.
The female informed officers that she was in his vehicle and agreed to have sexual relations with him in return for “getting high.” Based on the observations of the officers, coupled with the statement by the female, officers placed the male operator into custody.
Officers arrested Jessie Christie, 39, of Dorchester on the charges of Sex for a Fee (John), Illegal Possession of a Class B Substance (crack cocaine) and Operating a Motor Vehicle after License Suspension.
