Two Arrested for Armed Robbery of AcquaintanceLast night around 6:20PM, officers from District E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to 6 Augustus Ave. for a report of an armed robbery.
En route, officers were flagged down at the intersection of Poplar St. and St. Augustus Ave. by the victim. The victim reported to officers that he had just been robbed at gunpoint by two black males, one of whom is known to him. The victim explained that he had made arrangements with the suspect who is known to him to meet him at 6 St. Augustus Avenue. The victim reported that when he arrived at the house, he went to the back door and was met by a man who is not known to him. According to the victim, he was told to wait by the male who answered the door while he went to get the male suspect who is known to him.
The victim then reported to officers that after waiting a few minutes both suspects came out with handguns and pointed the guns at him and demanded all his property. The victim proceeded to hand over his wallet containing $150.00 and personal papers, and his watch. The victim then ran out of the rear of the house after he was threatened by the suspects that they would kill him if he called the police.
Officers immediately responded to the house and directed the suspects to come out of the house through an open window. The suspects came out of the house and were detained pending identification by the suspects. The victim responded to the scene and positively identified the suspects as the ones who had robbed him at gunpoint.
The suspects, Joshua Johnson, 23, of Roslindale and Marvin Dumay, 21, of Mattapan were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Intimidation of a Witness.
A Girl Needs Her Makeup!
Yesterday evening around 6:20PM, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) arrested suspect, Miosotis Pagan, 28, of Boston and charged her with Shoplifting for stealing over $600.00 worth of makeup.
Officers were on patrol in the area of 704 Centre St. when they were flagged down and informed by CVS Pharmacy loss prevention officers that there was a woman inside the store stealing. Officers exited their cruiser to investigate and as they approached the door observed the suspect walking out with several full bags. The suspect was stopped for an investigation and it was discovered that the suspect had over $600.00 in unpaid makeup in her bag.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the district station for booking. At the booking desk, it was then discovered that the suspect had several outstanding warrants two of which were for Shoplifting.
Victims Makes Quick Getaway but Not the Suspect
This morning around 12:04AM, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) responded to the intersection of Condor St. and Meridian Streets for a report of a carjacking.
On arrival, officers located a victim who reported that while she and her boyfriend were sitting in their car in front of 67 Condor St. when they were approached by a suspect who tried to open the door and then yelled “Open the door, give me the keys!” The victims then fled the area and called 911.
Officers broadcast a description of the suspect and other assisting units stopped three individuals in the area of Falcon Street. The three were detained and the victim responded to the scene and positively identified one of them as the individual who tried to carjack her. The suspect, David Sanchez, 33, of East Boston was arrested and charged with Attempted Unarmed Robbery.
