At about 12:01pm, on Saturday, August 15, 2009, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 168 Newbury Street (Solstice). On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that three black males entered his store, demanded money and robbed him. According to the victim, one of the suspects displayed a silver-colored firearm. During the course of the robbery, while no money was taken, the victim says several pairs of sunglasses were.The suspect who displayed the firearm is described as a slim black male, approximately 6’0” in height, 25 – 35 years of age, missing a front tooth, wearing a gray hat, white t-shirt, dark jeans and dark sneakers.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to contact Area D-4 detectives at (617)343-4683.
