On Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at approximately 9:22pm, members of the Boston Police Fugitive and Apprehension Unit executed a court ordered search warrant at 10 Bickford Street in Jamaica Plain.Earlier that day, officers from the Fugitive Unit traveled to 10 Bickford Street in order to affect an arrest warrant for an individual residing at this location. Officers arrived and were allowed into the residence. The target was located and placed into custody. While doing so, officers made notice of several items within plain view, including a large capacity rifle and numerous rounds of ammunition. Officer immediately secured the location in anticipation of obtaining a search warrant.
A search of the property was conducted once the search warrant was obtained. Officers located and seized a large capacity rifle, in excess of four-hundred rounds of ammunition, four large capacity feeding devices (magazines) and two digital scales, with what appeared to be, drug residue on them.
Officers arrested Giovanni Carrasquillo, 22 of Boston on the charges of Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Large Capacity Feeding Devices (four counts) and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Mr. Carrasquillo was also charged with two outstanding arrest warrants issued out of Dorchester District Court for Threats to Commit a Crime and Various motor vehicle charges.
