DAILY INCIDENTS FOR MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2009

SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER PUNCHING POLICE CRUISERAt about 2:21am, on Sunday, April 19, 2009, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) were stopped (in their marked Boston Police cruiser) at a red light at the intersection of Huntington Ave and Calumet Street. When the light turned green, officers were in the process of taking a right onto Tremont Street when an individual, who was standing in the street, punched the top of the cruiser. Upon seeing this, officers quickly stopped and exited their car. When officers approached the suspect, officers observed that the suspect appeared to be intoxicated given the odor of alcohol emanating from his person. When asked to explain his reason for punching the cruiser, the suspect stated, “I’m sorry. Just give me a break.”
Officers arrested Aaron Pearl, 32, of Boston and charged him with Disorderly Conduct.
POLICE ARREST ONE FOR BREAKING AND ENTERING A MOTOR VEHICLE
At about 3:46am, on Sunday, April 19, 2009, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person breaking into a motor vehicle in the area of 81 Prentiss Street. On arrival, officers observed an individual who matched the description of the suspect walking along Parker Street. When officers approached, the suspect stopped, dropped an item to the ground and stated, “You got me man.” Officers looked at the ground and recovered a radar detector. A search of the suspect enabled officers to locate and recover a GPS device and a screwdriver.
In the immediate area, officers located a motor vehicle with a broken rear window. While still on scene, the owner of the car was able to appear and positively identify the stolen merchandise.
Officers arrested Albert Watts, 53, of Boston and charged him with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle.
