UPDATE TO ACADEMY TERRACE TRIPLE SHOOTING

Boston Police Arrest Suspect Responsible For Academy Terrace ShootingLast evening Boston Police arrested Jermell Robinson, 17. of Jamaica Plain. Robinson is responsible for the October 18th shooting which injured three children. He is being charged with Assault By Means of a Firearm, Assault and Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with Intent to Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, Discharge of a Firearm within 500 ft. of a Dwelling and Carrying a Loaded Firearm on a Public Way. He is expected to be arriagned this morning at Roxbury District Court.
Yesterday detectives applied for and were granted an arrest warrant based on information developed as a result of their investigation.
At about 8:10pm, on Saturday, October 18, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person shot outside 68 Academy Terrace. On arrival, officers located an 11 year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot would. The victim was immediately transported to the Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. While on scene, officers were informed that there was a 2nd victim in need of attention in front of 12 Slayton Way. Officers responded to that location and located two additional victims. Victim #2, a 12 year-old male, was transported to the Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries while victim #3, an 11 year-old male, was transported to Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injures.
