DETAIL OFFICER ARRESTS ONE FOR BEING DISORDERLY DOWNTOWNAt about 1:00am, on Saturday, October 11, 2008, an officer working a paid detail in the area of Causeway Street and Lancaster Street observed two females fighting. Specifically, officers observed suspect #1 (Tiffany Donovan) strike suspect #2 repeatedly. After breaking up the altercation, officers attempted to gain the identity of suspect #1. However, when officers asked suspect #1 to provide identification, suspect #1 threw an id at the at the officers and stated, “Get it yourself.” While officers attempted to question suspect #1 about the incident, the suspect became verbally abusive towards the officers. When officers informed the suspect that she was being placed under arrest, suspect #1 grabbed at one of the officer’s gun belts and yelled, “Arrest me! F*#k you!”
Officers arrested Tiffany Donovan, 21, of Danvers and charged her with Assault & Battery, Disturbing the Peace and Resisting Arrest.
HOW NOT THROW A PARTY IN BOSTON
At about 12:21am, on Saturday, October 11, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a loud party in the area of 16 Stockwell Street. On arrival, officers observed a large number of kids standing on the front porch of the premise drinking what appeared to be alcoholic beverages. Specifically, officers observed the kids drinking from cans of Bud Light. As officers approached the residence, officers observed several individuals run into the residence. Officers also heard one individual state, “The cops are here .. hurry get out.” Upon entering the location, officers observed a large number of beer cans strewn throughout the location. Upon speaking to the legal tenants of the apartment, officers learned that the individuals, responsible for throwing the party, were under 21 years of age. Officers arrested Justin Duff, 20, of Boston and Mario Fort, 20, of Boston and charged both with Being the Keepers of a Disorderly House and the Unlawful Possession of Alcohol.
UNLICENSED CABBIE ARRESTED ON BOYLSTON STREET
At about 1:55am, on Saturday, October 11, 2008, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a person on a bike struck by a taxi at the intersection of Mass Ave and Boylston Street. On arrival, officers observed the operator of the taxi arguing with the person who had been riding a bicycle. Officers promptly separated the parties in an effort to better understand what had happened. Officers asked the operator of the taxi to produce his license to operate a motor vehicle. However, instead of providing his license, the operator of the taxi began yelling and screaming at the officers. In short time, it became apparent to the officers that the operator of the cab did not have a license. A check through the Registry of Motor Vehicles confirmed their suspicion. Officers arrested Salah Jassim Almosawi, 46, of Quincy and charged him with Operating Without Being Licensed. The individual riding the bike told officers that he was crossing the street when the cab drove close to him, but did not actually strike him.
