3rd Annual Cops for Kids with Cancer Benefit Motorcycle RunWHO: “Cops for Kids with Cancer” was founded in 2004 by Captain John V. Dow who retired from the Boston Police Department and also served as the Chief of the MBTA Police Department. Captain Dow worked tirelessly for children with the help of Father James Lane, the first Boston Police chaplain. Father Lane and Captain Dow passed last year, and we have rededicated ourselves to carrying on their mission by holding this benefit ride.
WHAT: As part of an ongoing effort to assist children afflicted with cancer, Cops for Kids for Cancer announces its 3rd Annual “Flight of the Angels” motorcycle run. The first 400 riders will receive free tee shirts. Hamburger and hot dogs will be served at the end of the ride. The cost for the ride is $20 per motorcycle and $10 for each additional rider.
WHEN: Sunday, October 5, 2008.
Registration Begins at 9:30AM, ride begins at 11:00AM.
WHERE: Starts at Florian Hall in Dorchester and ends at the Hilltop Athletic Club in Kingston, MA.
