ROBBERY OF FOOD DELIVERY GUY DELIVERS TWO SUSPECTS INTO POLICE CUSTODYAt about 10:22 pm, on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, officers from Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a report of an armed robbery in the area of 55 Forest Hills Street. According to the victim (a food delivery employee), he was in the process of delivering Chinese food to 55 Forest Hills Street when a man approached, showed a box cutter and demanded money. Upon handing over his money, the victim says he observed the suspect and a female, familiar to him, enter the building. According to the victim, he recognized the female from earlier food deliveries to her address inside building. The victim then directed officers to the female’s apartment.
Officers went to the apartment and knocked on the door. After explaining the reason for their presence, officers were allowed entry by the apartment’s legal tenant. Once inside, officers searched the premise. In short time, officers located both the male and female suspect. The male suspect was found hiding in a closet. The female was found in a bed pretending to be asleep. A search of the location also enabled officers to recover the box cutter and the recently delivered food.
After both suspects were positively identified by the victim (the delivery person), officers arrested Francisco Reyes, 22, of Boston and Catrice Williams, 21, of Jamaica Plain and charged both with Armed Robbery.
CHAIR-WIELDING SUSPECT ARRESTED IN ROXBURY
At about 3:30pm, on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, an officer, while on his way to work, observed a black female (suspect) chasing another woman down the street. The officer further observed that the woman doing the chasing was holding a folding chair. Upon seeing the officer, the woman dropped the folding chair but continued to chase the other woman. Upon catching the other woman, officers observed the suspect grab the woman’s pocketbook and run. As other units responded to the scene, officers were able to apprehend the suspect. Officers arrested Dorothy Colier, 17, of Boston and charged her with Unarmed Robbery. The victim’s bag was returned to the victim on the scene.
CANS OF SPRAY PAINT – DON’T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT THEM
At about 1:38am, on Thursday, September 25, 2008, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for two graffiti vandals defacing property in the area of 50 Germain Street. On arrival, officers observed two males, dressed in dark clothing, standing in the back of the above location. Upon seeing the arrival of the officers, the two suspects fled the area. After a lengthy foot pursuit, officers were able to locate both suspects. Officers located suspect #1 (Sherwin Long, 20, of Roxbury) in the area of Edgerly Road and Westland Ave and suspect #2 (Adam Bullock, 21, of Roxbury) in the area of 271 Huntington Ave. When asked to explain his reason for running, suspect #2 stated he ran for fear of being blamed for the recently applied graffiti. Officers observed that suspect #2 had purple paint on his hands.
In answer to the same question, suspect #1 stated he ran for fear of being arrested. A search of the suspect’s bag enabled officers to discover several cans of spray paint. When asked to explain his reason for carrying the spray paint, suspect #1 stated, “I carry them everywhere I go.” When officers returned to the location of the graffiti, officers observed that the graffiti on the wall matched the color of the spray paint found in the suspect’s bag.
Officers arrested Sherwin Long, 20, of Roxbury and Adam Bullock, 21, of Roxbury and charged both with Vandalism (Graffiti).
