POLICE WITH HELP FROM K-9 UNIT APPREHEND SUSPECT WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH A KIDNAPPING OUT OF BROCKTONAt about 2:57am, on Monday, September 22, 2008, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) received information that the Mass State Police were in pursuit of a suspect wanted for kidnapping. Officers learned that the suspect was wanted in connection with a kidnapping that had taken place earlier in the evening out of Brockton. Officers further learned that the suspect (Keith Bynoe) was last seen driving a green motor vehicle in the area of Dorchester Ave and Crescent Ave. Upon receipt of this information, Boston Police officers, in collaboration with the Mass State Police, began a search of the immediate area. In short time, officers located the suspect’s motor vehicle parked in a parking lot in the area of 11 Bakersfield Street. Upon looking inside the motor vehicle, officers located the victim of the kidnapping. The suspect, however, was gone. When officers spoke to the victim, she described the suspect as a 5’10” black non-Hispanic male wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans, and red sneakers. In an effort to assist in the search for the suspect, K-9 officers were called to the scene.
K-9 units began tracking the suspect in the area of Bakersfield Street. In short time, the K-9 units were able to track the suspect to a garage located at 88 Stoughton Street. When officers entered the garage, officers located the suspect hiding underneath a parked vehicle. Upon locating the suspect, the Mass State Police returned the suspect to the original scene. Once there, the victim positively identified the suspect.
Mass State Police then took the suspect into custody. After being transported to the South Boston barracks, Keith Bynoe, 26, of Mattapan was charged with Kidnapping.
MAN WITHOUT CLOTHES ARRESTED FOR BREAKING AND ENTERING WHILE INDECENTLY EXPOSED
At about 4:49am, on Saturday, September 20, 2008, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a naked male breaking into an apartment in the area of 236 W. Newton Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the tenants of the apartment who stated they were asleep when they heard a loud banging on their apartment door. As they approached the door, they observed a male suspect kicking the door. After several attempts, the suspect was able to kick the door in. Upon kicking in the door, the suspect, sans clothes, entered the apartment. According to the victims, in addition to being naked, the suspect appeared to be under the influence of something. The victims further stated that, as soon as the suspect entered the apartment, he turned around and fled. When asked to describe the suspect, the victims stated, “He was naked.”
Approximately a hour and a half later, officers received a radio call for a report of a naked male standing on top of a motor vehicle in the area of 58 W. Rutland Square. On arrival, officers heard a house alarm coming from an apartment in the immediate area. Upon entering the apartment, officers observed a broken window and what appeared to be a pool of blood. In short time, officers located a naked male inside the location. When asked if it was his birthday, the suspect stated, “No.” The suspect was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
According to victims, they were sleeping when the suspect entered their bedroom. Upon seeing the suspect, the victims fled their apartment and called police. Officers arrested Gregory Tangoe, 23, of Boston and charged him with two counts of Breaking & Entering and two counts of Indecent Exposure.
