BOSTON POLICE INVESTIGATE SEVERAL SHOOTING INCIDENTS, 5 INDIVIDUALS INJUREDOfficers Recover One Firearm
The Boston police are actively investigating three shooting incidents, which resulted in five injured individuals. All of the victims are expected to survive their injuries.
A preliminary investigation on each of these incidents has led investigators to believe that these incidents are not random. Victims have been uncooperative with authorities. Detectives are asking anyone with information related to any of these incidents to please come forward.
INCIDENT DESCRIPTIONS:
• At about 6:40am, on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 5 Fuller Street near the Ashmont MBTA station. On arrival, officers located a 17 year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to the Boston Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

• At about 11:32pm, on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of 58 Stockton Street. On arrival, officers located a 20 year-old black male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to the Boston Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. A search of the immediate area enabled officers to locate and recover a black firearm.

• At about 11:53pm, on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of Maple and Nazing Streets. On arrival, officers located three males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. All victims, an 18 year old black male, a 20 year old black male and a 27 year old black male, were transported to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries (two to BMC, one to Brigham & Women’s).
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. According to witnesses, a black or dark-colored Honda was seen leaving the scene at a high rate of speed. Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to call Area B-2 detectives at (617) 343-4275.
