DAILY INCIDENTS FOR MONDAY, AUGUST 18, 2008

STABBING INCIDENT SENDS ONE TO THE HOSPITAL; THE OTHER TO JAILAt about 2:39am, on Sunday, August 17, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a fight in the area of Brookford and Rand Streets. On arrival, officers observed an individual chasing another person while yelling, “Arrest her! Arrest her! She just stabbed me.” Officers observed the victim’s shirt to be torn and stained with blood. Officers then apprehended the suspect. According to the victim, she and the suspect were fighting when the suspect picked up a broken bottle and stabbed her. Officers arrested Pamela Hannah, 38, of Roxbury and charged her with Assault & Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
LOUD NOISE LANDS TWO IN POLICE CUSTODY
At about 12:59am, on Monday, August 18, 2008, officers from Area B-3
(Mattapan/Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a loud party in the area of 35 Harvard Street. On arrival, officers observed a large crowd leaving the area in a peaceful manner. Officers then observed and heard a small group yelling and screaming obscenities. Upon hearing the vulgarities, officers asked the small group to be mindful of their language. When told to keep it down, one of the suspects began directing obscenities towards the officers. Specifically, the suspect stated, “We don’t care about the people around here so (expletive) you and them.”
Officers arrested Gethro Monperousse, 18, of Hyde Park and Federico Moore, 25, of Mattapan and charged both with Disturbing the Peace.
BIKE THIEF ARRESTED IN SOUTHIE
At about 5:00pm, on Sunday, August 17, 2008, officers from Area C-6 (South Boston) were flagged down by an individual who stated, \”He\’s got a wire cutter and he’s trying to snap my bike.\” The individual then pointed to an individual, on crutches, who was attempting to steal his bike. When officers approached the suspect, the suspect shoved an object into his shirt and took off on foot. After a short foot pursuit, officers located and apprehended the suspect. A search of the suspect enabled officers to locate a stolen credit card. Officers arrested Eliu Matos, 38, of Everett and charged him Larceny of a Bicycle and Receiving Stolen Property.
