SHOOTING INCIDENT AT PIERPONT AND PLAYSTEAD ROADS

MOTOR VEHICLE WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE INCIDENTAt about 1:20am, on Saturday, August 9, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of Playstead and Pierpont Roads. On arrival, officers located a male, in his late 30’s, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to the Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. The department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 1999 gray Ford Taurus with a Massachusetts registration: 5021RK. In addition to dark tinted windows, the motor vehicle has noticeable damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle.
