Armed Robbery Turned Bad for 15-Year-Old SuspectAt approximately 11:37AM yesterday, August 3, 2008, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 311 Geneva Ave. for a stabbing.
On arrival, officers were met by the victim who was suffering from a stab wound to the chest. The victim was immediately given medical attention by EMS who was on scene. On scene, officers also observed a young female sitting in a chair inside the store crying with blood on the side of her face. Based on the appearance of this young woman, officers believed her to be the victim of the assault also and asked her what happened. The young woman responded to officers and stated, “I stabbed him.” Officers immediately stopped all questioning and administered Miranda warnings to the suspect and again asked her what happened. The suspect then told officers, “I was trying to rob him, and I panicked and stabbed him.”
The suspect, a 15-year-old female juvenile from Dorchester was arrested and charged Attempted Armed Robbery and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and the suspect was evaluated before being transported back to the station for booking.
Bad Luck Lands Motor Vehicle B&E Suspect to Jail
This morning around 2:04AM, officers from the Boston Police Special Operations Division and District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested suspect, Jose Rodriguez, 57, of Dorchester and charged him with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, and Larceny of Motor Vehicle Accessories.
Officers had responded to the 1800 block of Dorchester Ave. in response to a call for shots fired when they were approached by a concerned citizen who informed them that there was a male down the street breaking into a car. Officers responded to the location that they were directed in, and there found the suspect inside a motor vehicle with the window broken and the suspect attempting to pry out the radio.
The suspect was consequently arrested and charged with the above offenses.
Three Arrested for Breaking into a Car
Around 2:58AM today, officers from District B-3 responded to 44 Franklin Hill Ave. for three suspects breaking into a car.
En route, officers familiar with the escape route from the area approached the location from both sides. On arrival, officers observed two of the four suspects running, and pursued them into officers approaching from the other side. Both suspects were apprehended and placed under arrest, one after a brief struggle. Officers then spoke to the victim who reported that he observed four suspects breaking into his car, and going back and forth from his car to another nearby car. The victim further reported to officers that he observed the suspects flee as they approached with one described suspect fleeing on a bicycle in the direction of American Legion Highway. Other responding units went to the area that the suspect was said to have fled, and found an individual matching the suspect’s description in the area of American Legion Hwy. and Morton Street. The third suspect was detained and returned to the scene of the breaking and entering where the victim positively identified him.
The three suspects, Juan R. Soto-Crespo, 26, of Roxbury, Edward J. Toney, 41, of Dorchester and Samuel Delvalle, 25, of Roxbury were arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle in the Nighttime, and Larceny from a Motor Vehicle. Suspect, Delvalle, was additionally charged with Possession of Class D for marijuana found on his person during a search conducted incident to lawful arrest.
