DAILY INCIDENTS FOR SUNDAY, AUGUST 3, 2008

21 Leroy Street Shooting IncidentAt approximately 1:21AM this morning, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 21 Leroy St. in Dorchester for a person shot.
On arrival, officers located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds outside 21 Leroy Street. Preliminary evidence suggests that there was some kind of party going on when the victims were shot. The first victim, a 14 year-old male was transported to Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The second victim, an 18-year-old male was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The third victim, a 19 year-old victim was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was deemed to be in critical but stable condition.
At this time, the facts and circumstance of this incident are still under investigation by District C-11 detectives. Three Arrested for Firearm Charges after Call for Loud Party
Last night officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested suspects, Tyrone B. Johnson, 34, Rhondo Luis Robinson, 27, and Towana Salters, 29 all of Dorchester and charged them with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. In addition, suspect Johnson who was operating the car was charged with multiple motor vehicle violations.
Officers initially responded to 32 Kenberma St. in Dorchester around 3:10AM for a loud party. While on scene, officers observed suspect, Johnson, who was operating a motor vehicle yell out of the window of his car to a female that was standing in the street, “Get out of the street !&%* before I pop your ass!” Officers then observed the female who was standing in the street to be alarmed and frightened.
The suspect then pulled off and was followed by officers who lost sight of him but again found him in front of 501 Dorchester Avenue. At that location, suspect Johnson picked up suspect, Salters, and while doing so, officers overheard his front passenger, Robinson say to him, “So, you’re going to pop someone!” Having heard the operator’s statements to the female in the street, and the passenger’s statements to the operator, officers attempted to pull over the car as it pulled away from in front of 501 Dorchester Avenue.
The suspect motor vehicle took off despite officers alerting them to stop with both lights and sirens. The suspect continued traveling down Washington St. and turned onto Melville Ave., a left onto Hooper St. and as they turned onto Tremlett St. observed something being thrown from the car. Officers continued to follow the suspect finally stopping him at the intersection of park St. and Geneva Avenue. There, al occupants were removed from the car, as officers went back to the location. At the location where officers had observed something being thrown from the car, a loaded semi-automatic firearm along with the one of the suspect’s hats was found and recovered. All suspects were arrested and charged with the above offenses in addition to being charged with Possession of Class D, which was found in the car.
