Boston Police Seek Assistance to Locate Suspect from Wood Avenue IncidentAt approximately 4:35AM today, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to 274 Wood Ave. for a domestic violence incident involving a firearm.
On arrival, officers spoke to the victim of the incident who reported that her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her. The victim reported that she was at home earlier in the night when someone rang her doorbell. The victim reported that when her friend opened the door, the suspect pushed his way through the door and attacked the victim. The suspect assaulted her by punching her about the face and head area. The victim further reported to officers that as the suspect assaulted her by holding her in a headlock she observed him trying to load ammunition into a firearm. The victim then frantically fought off the suspect, and was able to escape to a nearby friend’s house where she called the police.
Based on the information received and the possibility that the armed suspect was still in the house, officers requested the SWAT team and hostage negotiators to the location of the incident to prevent any further escalation of the incident. The above units responded to the scene and successfully gained entrance to the house. However, once inside the premises officers were unable to locate the suspect who had apparently fled the scene.
An arrest warrant is being sought for the suspect, Ramon Rosarion, 50, of Roxbury. The victim was transported to the hospital with facial injuries from the assault.
