DEATH INVESTGATION AT 115 RIVER STREETAt approximately 2:39am on July 2, 2008, officers responded to the Carney Hospital for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers were informed that two victims self-applied to the hospital with gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation indicated that one of the two victims drove to the hospital. Officers believe that the original incident occurred in the area of 115 River Street in Mattapan.
One of the two the victims, a black female, who suffered a gunshot wound to the chest succumbed to her injuries at the hospital and was pronounced.
The victim has been identified as Tiffany Lomax, 28 of Dorchester.
DEATH INVESTIGATION AT UNION AND NORTH STREETS
On July 4, 2008 around 11:51AM, officers from District A-1 (Downtown Boston) responded to the intersection of North and Union Streets for a cardiac arrest.
On arrival, officers located the victim, a black male, who they learned had been assaulted by a suspect who fled the scene. The victim was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital with life threatening injuries where he was later pronounced.
The victim has been identified as Timothy Finch, 40, of Boston.
DEATH INVESTIGATION AT 11 EDWARDSON STREET IN HYDE PARK
Around 7:56PM on Friday, July 4th 2008, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to 11 Edwardson St. in Hyde Park for a person shot.
On arrival, officers located a teenage male lying on the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim was later pronounced a few hours after arriving at the hospital.
The victim has been identified as Ronald Marc, 17, of Hyde Park.
DEATH INVESTIGATION AT 60 DABNEY STREET IN ROXBURY
At approximately 1:30AM on July 5, 2008, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the intersection of Circuit St. and Walnut Ave. for a person shot.
On arrival, officers located the victim, a 20 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Boston Medical Center with life threatening injuries. The victim was subsequently pronounced as a result of his injuries after arriving at the hospital.
The victim has been identified as Jarvis Anderson, 20, of Roxbury.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding all the above incidents. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Homicide detectives at (617) 343-4470.
