Three Arrested in Latest Sting at Boston CommonAround 6:30pm on Thursday, September 13 officers of the Area A-1 (Downtown) Drug Control Unit were conducting surveillance in the area of Avery and Tremont Streets for drug activity when a man approached an undercover officer and engaged in conversation. The officer asked if the man could “hook him up” with a drug dealer and the two men proceeded to walk toward the Boston Common. Once on the Commons, the suspect spoke to another man, then returned to the undercover officer and said, “He’s going to meet us near St. Francis House. Walk with me.”
The journey ended at a park bench in the area of 170 Tremont Street, where a black male was seated waiting for them. The officer handed the first suspect cash and the two suspects proceeded to cross the street and engage in conversation with their friend. At this time, numerous officers observed what was believed to be a drug transaction transpire between the three suspects while seated on the bench.
Abruptly, the men dispersed; the first two suspects walked back into the Commons, the third suspect proceeded to walk directly past the undercover officer, refusing to engage in conversation with him. At this time, numerous officers in the Drug Control Unit began to trail the three men. All three suspects attempted to flee by running in opposite directions once they realized they were being followed. Officers successfully apprehended the individuals and placed them under arrest.
Shawn Boyd, 38, of Roxbury was arrested for Larceny Under $50.00 and Resisting Arrest. Eric Weeks, 45, of Roxbury was arrested for Larceny Under $50.00 and Receiving Stolen Property. It was also discovered Weeks had a default warrant out of Roxbury Court for unrelated charges. Anderson Felix, 19, of Brockton was arrested for Possession of Class B Drugs with Intent to Distribute within 100 Feet of a Park or Playground, Resisting Arrest, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon While Committing a Breach of the Peace as well as a default warrant out of Quincy Court.
Carjacking of Food Delivery Man
Last night at 10:06pm, officers from District E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a carjacking at 37 Mendelssohn Street. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was making a food delivery. The victim stated he parked his car on the opposite side of the street and observed a black male standing in front the above-mentioned address. The victim approached the male with the food and the suspect asked how much money he owed him.
When the victim responded the suspect put the victim in strangle hold and took the victim’s money, food and car keys. All three suspects fled in the victim’s car. The victim could only give a description of three black males dressed in dark clothing. The victim’s car was later recovered on Blue Ledge Drive.

Suspects Peddles Into the Long Arms of the Law
Last night around 10:20pm, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) conducted a larceny sting operation in the area of Blue Hill Avenue after reports of numerous larcenies in the area. Officers had an undercover police vehicle parked at 106 Blue Hill Avenue with a mountain bike in the rear of the truck. Officers noticed an individual walk by the undercover truck and notice the bike, taking interest, then walk by. The suspect continued to watch the bike in the rear of the truck while looking over his shoulder, surveying the area.
Soon after, officers observed the suspect pick the bike up from the rear of the truck, hop on the bike and start to ride down the street. Isaac Bell, 44, of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Larceny Over $250.
