Watch What You SayYesterday morning around 1:30am, officers from the Citywide Mountain Bike Unit arrested suspects, Stephan S. Ott, 19, of Brookline, Sean T. Dunn, 19, of Boston, James W. Mayo, 21, of Allston, Jeremy M. Levesque, 19, of Boston and Theodore F. Engel, 21, of Needham and charged them with Disorderly Conduct.
Officers were assigned to patrol the area of Gardner St. in the Brighton area due to numerous resident complaints about public drinking and disorder in the area. When they first encountered the suspects, they were walking on the street yelling and swearing as they did so. As the suspects continued walking down the street, their loud and raucous behavior caused people to come out of their houses and see the cause of the disturbance. The suspects observed officers and continued their loud banter talking loudly amongst themselves stating “ !#$@! the cops! We’ll &*%?! them up!” The suspects continued in this loud manner despite the presence of the officers and in full view of numerous individuals whose attentions were drawn to the suspects. The suspects were arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.
Car Thief Arrested in the Act
Around 3:29am, Saturday, September 9, 2007, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to High St. and Monument St. for a larceny in progress. Officers quickly responded to the area and there observed two individuals in the rear of a vehicle that was on a jack. As officers neared the two, one suspect fled and officers were able to apprehend the other suspect. Officers, after placing one suspect under arrest, further noticed that there was a lug wrench in one tire and that the lug nuts had been removed.
Suspect, Ryan F. Murray, 22, of Charlestown was arrested and charged with Possession of Burglarious Tools and Attempted Larceny from a Motor Vehicle.
Sleeping Car Thief Arrested
This morning around 1:32am, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) arrested suspect, Dania S. Quinones, 25, of Chelsea and charged her with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
Officers from District A-7 were on patrol in the area of 800 Border St. when they observed a parked motor vehicle with its headlights on. Officers made their way to the car to further investigate when they observed a female party sitting inside the car sleeping. Officers woke up the occupant to conduct a well-being check and she stated that she was waiting for a friend. A check of the vehicle by officers revealed that the car had been reported stolen in Chelsea. Officers were able to contact the victim who stated that the suspect had stolen the keys to the car while he was at a friend’s house.
Construction Site Thieves Arrested
Yesterday evening around 5:05pm, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to 17 Stafford St. for a larceny in progress. On arrival, officers spoke to a witness who reported observing two suspects carrying aluminum scaffolding from the rear of 121 Moreland St. (a construction site) and placing it in a side yard of 17 Stafford Street. Officers conducted a search of the area for the suspects and located the two described suspects at the intersection of Blue Hill Ave. and Brookford Street. The two suspects were positively identified by witnesses and placed under arrest.
Suspects, James W. Little, 54 of Milton and Samson Scott, 52, of Roxbury were both arrested and charged with Larceny in a Building over $250.00. The stolen scaffolding was located and returned to the construction site.
