Anonymous Tip Leads to Discovery ofTwo High-Powered Firearms Hidden Near Local School
WHO: Mayor Thomas M. Menino, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis and Boston Police Command Staff
WHAT: On September 5, 2007 officers received information, from a citizen who wished to remain anonymous, that firearms were being stored in an area around the Mattahunt School, 100 Hebron Street in Mattapan. Officers responded to the scene and uncovered two high-powered firearms in the vicinity of the school building.
Mayor Menino and Police Commissioner Davis will take this opportunity to disclose the details of this discovery and discuss current initiatives being executed to ensure a safe environment for our students.
