Search Warrant Executed at 20 Leicester StreetSince April 2005, detectives from District D-14 have been conducting an on-going investigation of unlawful massage and prostitution businesses in Allston/Brighton. Detectives have executed over forty search warrants and have made over one hundred arrests of individuals who have been involved in unlawful/unlicensed massage and prostitution businesses.
On August 21, 2007 an undercover officer answered a posting on craigslist, which read “Gorgeous Mistress available to meet submissive men”.
On August 23, 2007 at approximately 2:30pm the undercover officer placed a telephone call and spoke to an unknown female and asked her if she was \”Mistress Gorgeous\” at which time she replied “Yes, how can I help you?” The undercover officer informed “Mistress Gorgeous” that he had been conversing with her by email and the undercover officer gave “Mistress Gorgeous” his name. “Mistress Gorgeous” then told the under cover officer that she lived in an apartment building and it is at 20 Leicester Street in Brighton.
“Mistress Gorgeous” then asked the undercover officer “How long do you want, you know my rates” at which time the undercover officer told “Mistress Gorgeous” that he could “only stay for the half hour”. “Mistress Gorgeous” then quoted the undercover officer a price of $175.00.
On August 24, 2007 at 9:18pm, detectives executed a search warrant for 20 Leicester Street. Officers knocked on the door and announced “Boston Police Search Warrant”, within a few seconds a male voice inside the apartment stated just a minute and seconds later the apartment door was opened.
27-year-old Kara Rogers, and 29-year-old Jacob Rogers, both of Brighton were both arrested and charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee, Allowing a Premise to be used for Immoral Purposes.
Two Arrested After Taking An Estimated $100,000 worth in Jewelry
Yesterday at 1:24pm, officers from District D-4 responded to a radio call for a robbery at 138 St. James Street. On arrival, officers were met by the head of security at the Copley Plaza Hotel, who stated that there was a wedding there last night. Security further stated that the people staying in that room were in charge of all of the wedding gifts and the gifts are missing. Officers spoke with occupants of the room, who stated that at 10:00am, the bellhop came up to take their luggage. When he attempted to take the bag containing the wedding gifts they told him to leave it because it contained jewelry. Then they left for breakfast and returned around 12:20pm. They stated they found the maid in the room and the property missing.
After a lengthy investigation, officers were able to recover the stolen property. Ramatu Deen, 27, of Boston and Ailina Fernandes, 30, of Quincy were both arrested and charged with Larceny Over $250 and Buying, Receiving or Concealing Stolen Goods.
