PARKING DISPUTE LANDS ONE IN CUSTODYAt about 6:43pm, on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, officers from Area D-4 (South End) received a radio call for a woman being verbally abused in the area of Trinity Place and Stuart Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that she observed the suspect scratch the side of her car with a shiny metal object. Victim further stated that she and the suspect had been involved in an earlier verbal dispute about the parking spot presently occupied by her car. According to the victim, after she pulled into the spot, the suspect stated, “That’s my spot and if you don’t move I will hit your car.” Officers then broadcast a description of the suspect’s car over the police radio. As a result of the broadcast, officers were able to locate the suspect’s car parked on St. Botolph Street. When officers approached the car, officers observed the suspect sitting in the front seat rolling what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette. Officers arrested Gregory Kiessling, 23, of Westwood, and charged him with Possession of Class D Drug (Marijuana) and the Willful Destruction of Personal Property.
WHIZ KID ARRESTED IN EAST BOSTON
At about 12:33am, on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, officers from Area A-7 (East Boston) responded to a radio call for an individual causing a disturbance outside the Eclipse Tavern in East Boston. On arrival, officers observed an individual standing in the middle of the street, with his pants down, urinating. Additionally, officers observed a small crowd of people yelling at the suspect, “to pull his pants up.” Officers arrested Wander Lopera, 24, of East Boston, and charged him with Open & Gross Lewdness.
UNARMED ROBBER ARRESTED IN CHINATOWN
At about 11:07am, on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, officers from Area A-1 (Downtown) received a radio call for a robbery in progress at Boylston and Tremont Streets. As officers were responding to the scene, a description of the suspect was broadcast over the police radio. As a result, officers were able to locate an individual fitting the description provided by the victim. The suspect was then brought back to the scene of the crime where the victim was able to positively identify the suspect. After the identification was made, officers arrested Hoang Thinh, 35, of Boston, and charged him with Unarmed Robbery.
