On Tuesday, July 10, 2007, Captain Frank Armstrong, Boston Police Department, Commander of Area E-18, Hyde Park, Ma. And his two sons, Fran, age 15 and John, age 13, will be traveling to Moshi, Tanzania, Africa to embark on an eight day attempt to reach the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, the worlds tallest free standing mountain at 19,341 feet above sea level. Captain Armstrong and his sons are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in memory of Captain John V. Dow. (Retired Boston Police) who passed away on February 10, 2007. Captain Dow was one of the founders of COPS FOR KIDS WITH CANCER. Captain Armstrong is asking Boston Officers and friends of COPS FOR KIDS WITH CANCER, for their support of this organization by pledging $1.00 for every 1000 feet of elevation climbed above sea level and if a successful ascent of the summit is made, that a $20.00 donation be made out in memory of Captain John Dow to the COPS FOR KIDS WITH CANCER FUND, P.O.
