Bank Robber Arrested in Down TownYesterday at 2:00pm, officers from District A-1 were informed that the Bank of America at 161 Cambridge Street was just robbed at gunpoint. A description of the suspect was broadcasted as a white male wearing a bright orange t-shirt, grey shorts and had a gun in his waist area. The suspect fled from the bank on foot across Cambridge Street into the Beacon Hill Area.
Officers searched the Beacon Hill area for the suspect and were stopped by a passerby who stated a security officer from the bank was following a person up South Russell Street towards Myrtle Street. Officers continued in the direction of Myrtle Street and observed the bank security guard who identified the individual in front of 19 Revere Street as the suspect who just robbed the bank.
Officers spoke with the teller who stated that the suspect demanded money. The teller did not give the suspect any money. At that time she stated he got angry and started to leave the bank. The bank security officer stated he heard the teller yelling “robbery” and he observed the suspect leave the bank. He stated he dialed 911 and followed the suspect until the police arrived.
The caller positively identified the suspect. Michael Dunn, 54, of Quincy was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery of a Bank. No firearm was recovered at this time.
Search Warrant Executed in Roxbury
Yesterday at 6:15pm, members of the District E-5 Drug Control Unit with the assistance of the officers from District B-2 and members of the Youth Violence Strike Force did execute a search warrant at 71 Fayston Street. After knocking and announcing Boston Police search warrant officer’s waited before making a force entry receiving after receiving no response. Officers did recover 1 plastic bag of heroin, a tin containing crack cocaine, digital scale, crack pipe, one pair of nun chucks, and two swords. Delores Wise, 49, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, Possession of Class A and Possession of Class B. Edy Gomez, 31, of Dorchester was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for Trespassing.
