Most Recent Incident:On 7/7/07 @ 3:43 PM, officers responded to the Dunkin Donuts at 471 Brookline St. for a report of an armed robbery in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the clerk who reported they had just been robbed. The suspect used a large black gun that he pulled from a bag during this robbery. Suspect was described as a black male wearing black sunglasses and a black cap. The suspect stole an unknown amount of money from the register of the store. Surveillance video from this robbery indicates that the suspect fled in a green Ford pick-up truck (possibly a Ranger) on Brookline Ave. towards Longwood Ave.
The suspect is most often described as a black male, age 30-35, thin build, 5’05”-5’08”, carrying a black shoulder bag. The incidents have occurred on Sunday (5), Tuesday (5), Wednesday (2), Thursday (4), Friday (2), and Saturday (4). A total of nineteen incidents have taken place between 10 AM and 7 PM; ten incidents took place between 4:55 PM and 6:47 PM.
Since April 15th, nineteen commercial robberies occurred in Boston that have similar MO’s and suspect descriptions; three additional incidents have occurred in Cambridge that appear to fit this same pattern. The suspect appears to target candy/chocolate/gift stores, and convenience stores and the majority of the incidents have taken place on Districts A1 and D4. The suspect forces the clerks to the floor at knifepoint or gunpoint (possibly shotgun), and then takes cash from the registers and safes.
