DAILY INCIDENTS FOR WEDNESDAY, JUNE 27, 2007

IF YOU’RE GONNA TAKE THE RIDE .. YOU GOTTA PAY THE FAREAt about 12:40am, on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, officers performing a paid detail on Area A-1 (Downtown) were approached by a cab driver who told officers that the customer in his cab was refusing to pay the fare. Officers then spoke to the customer/suspect who stated that she didn’t have enough money to pay the fare, but that her boyfriend was coming to bring her money. Suspect then walked up to an unknown individual and stated, “Honey, let me have the money for the taxi.” Officers then asked the individual if he knew the suspect. To which the individual stated that he did not. At this point, officers informed the suspect that she needed to pay the taxi fare. The suspect then began screaming obscenities at the police officers. As the suspect continued to yell and scream, a crowd began to gather. Officers then arrested Jewell Allsop, 46, of Roslindale, and charged her with Disorderly Conduct.
DRUNK DRIVER ARRESTED IN THE BACK BAY
At about 2:40am, on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, officers from Area D-4 (South End), with assistance from the State Police, responded to a radio call for an accident at 520 Beacon Street. On arrival, officers observed several motor vehicles with body damage. The individual responsible for causing the accident attempted to flee the scene, but was apprehended by responding officers. While questioning the suspect, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol. Officers then arrested Panagiotis Thomopoulos, 29, of Watertown, and charged him with Operating Under the Influence (Alcohol) and Leaving the Scene of an Accident (Property Damage).
