WANTED: Boston Police Seeking Murder Suspect

At about 1:40 pm, on Thursday, June 21, 2007, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a man shot at 27 Nottingham Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers observed Joseph Smith, 39, of Dorchester suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced.After a thorough investigation of the incident, Homicide detectives applied for and were granted an arrest warrant for Patrick Mayhew, 20, of Dorchester.
Investigators are making every effort to locate and apprehend this suspect. A description is listed below. Due to eyewitness identification issues, a photo of the murder suspect cannot be made available.

Height: 5’11”
Weight: 130 lbs. (slim build)
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
