Business Robbed at GunpointYesterday at 6:15pm, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 107 Summer Street. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that she was working on the lower level when the suspect came downstairs and asked for a greeting card. The victim stated that after she told him that what he was looking for was upstairs, the suspect began looking around the store and then proceeded upstairs. The victim stated about five minutes later she went upstairs and observed the suspect looking at greeting cards. The suspect stated to the victim this is a robbery and proceeded behind the counter. The suspect displayed a barrel of a shotgun, which was protruding from a bag. The suspect then proceeded to empty both cash registers. The suspect fled in an unknown direction with an undetermined amount of cash.
Two Arrested for Drug Possession
Last night at 7:30pm, members of the Drug Control Unit from District A-1 (Downtown) were monitoring drug activity in the Boston Common. Officers have made arrest for violation of the drug laws. Officers observed a black male take an item from his mouth and hand the item to another male. Based on officers training and experience they believed they observed a drug transaction. Officers approached the male for a threshold inquiry and observed an item in the suspect’s mouth. Anthony Raye, 19, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Distribution of Class B and Distribution of Class B within 1000ft of a School Zone. Also arrested was Tha Mean, 37, of Boston and was charged with Possession of Class B.
Animal Incident in Hyde Park
Today at 11:34am, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for an unknown problem at 111 Williams Avenue. On arrival officers observed the victim with three small puncture wounds to the face. According to witnesses the child was playing ball with the dog when the victim took the ball out of the dogs mouth and was bitten by the terrier. The victim was transported to Children Hospital and treated for his injuries. Animal control is investigating this incident.
