A-HOY THERE!!!At about 2:45am, on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, officers from Area A-1 (Downtown) received a radio call for a person breaking into a boat on Rowes Wharf. On arrival, officers spoke to witnesses who stated that they saw a man break into one of the boats. Officers boarded and searched the boat in question. Once aboard, officers located a white male sleeping under a table. Further investigation showed the individual to be intoxicated. Officers then arrested John Allen, 26, of Boston, and charged him with Trespassing.
STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE RECOVERED IN DORCHESTER
At about 1:53pm, on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) observed a gray motor vehicle, known to be stolen, at the corner of Washington Street and Talbot Avenue. The vehicle had been reported stolen earlier in the day. As a result, officers began to follow the vehicle. While following the car, officers observed the vehicle pull over and park on Welles Avenue. Officers then observed two black males exit the vehicle and walk in the direction of Talbot Avenue. Officers stopped the suspects and began questioning them about the stolen car. One of the suspects stated that a friend had loaned him the car.
Both suspects, James Stevenson, 28, of Dorchester, and Avery Williams, 21, of Hyde Park, were arrested and charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
