DAILY INCIDENTS FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 19, 2007

GUN ARREST MADE IN HYDE PARKAt about 11:08pm, on Monday, June 18, 2007, officers from Area E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for threats being made at 95 Providence Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated two black males drove by him and threatened to kill him. Officers then observed two individuals fitting the description provided by the victim. As officers approached the suspects, the suspects began to run. While following the suspects, officers observed the suspects clutching their waistlines as if they were carrying weapons. Officers then stopped the suspects and conducted a search of them and the area immediately around them. Officers recovered a firearm in the immediate area (a silver Smith & Wesson with a brown handle). Officers arrested John Louis, 21, of Roslindale, and, Edwin Samedy, 23, of Norwood, and charged both with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm & Ammunition.
WRONG PLACE TO THROW A BOTTLE
At about 2:04am, on Monday, June 18, 2007, officers from Area A-7 (East Boston) observed two beer bottles get tossed out of a moving motor vehicle in the area of Morris Street. Officers then activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) and stopped the motor vehicle. While talking to the operator of the motor vehicle, officers detected an odor of alcohol coming from within the motor vehicle. Officers further observed 2 open, partially full bottles of beer on the floor of the motor vehicle by the front passenger’s feet. Officers then arrested Nestor Aran, 20, of Revere, and charged him with Being a Minor in Possession of Alcohol. Officers also arrested Juan Miranda, 21, of Everett, and charged him with Procuring Alcohol for a Minor. Officers also issued the following motor vehicle citations: Seatbelt Violation, Open Container, Littering from a Motor Vehicle.
