WHAT: Boston Police Superintendent Paul Joyce will be competing in the Mount Washington Road Race on Saturday, June 16, 2007. The Superintendent will be running in honor of Boston Police Officer Terrance ‘Shane’ Burke who was injured while on duty in Iraq when the military vehicle he was traveling in struck a land mine. The Mount Washington Road Race is a 7.6 mile course that rises 4650 vertical feet. Superintendent Joyce will be wearing a singlet that reads:Mount Washington Road Race-Dedicated to Sgt.T.
