DAILY INCIDENTS FOR WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13, 2007

TWO ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT & BATTERY IN MATTAPANAt about 7:06pm, on Monday, June 11, 2007, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a fight in progress at 926 Cummins Highway. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated 2 suspects had just beat him up using bottles. Officers observed that the victim was bleeding from his head. Officers then put out a description of the suspects over the Channel 3 of the police radio. While searching the area of Mattapan Square, officers observed two individuals fitting the description provided by the victim. After confirming their identity, officers arrested Derrick Bullock, 35, of Mattapan, and Antwan Griffiths, 26, of Mattapan, and charged both with Assault & Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon (bottle).
WANNA-BE COP PUT IN CUFFS IN SOUTH BOSTON
At about 6:44pm, on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, officers from Area C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a man with a gun in the area of 35 St. Casimir Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that the suspect approached her swinging a pair of handcuffs. According to the victim, the suspect then asked, “What’s going on?” To which the victim replied, “Nothing,” and continued talking to friends. At this point, the suspect claimed he was a Boston Police Officer. According to the victim, the suspect then pulled out a firearm and pointed in the direction of the victim. After putting out a description of the suspect, officers were able to locate an individual fitting the description provided by the victim. Officers then arrested Adam Nieves, 26, of South Boston, and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm & Ammunition, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (gun), and Impersonating a Police Officer.
