Last night at 11:40pm, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a person shot at 24 E. Brookline Street. On arrival, officers located a male in the parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center and was later pronounced. The victim has been identified as Angel Ortiz, 23, of the South End.Homicide detective are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to please contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
