Hit and Run Accident at 400 American Legion Highway

At approximately 3:23pm today, June 4, 2007, officers from District 18 (Hyde Park) responded to the area of 400 American Legion Highway for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.On arrival, officers observed EMS as well as Boston Fire Engines on scene treating the accident victims. Three individuals, a pregnant adult female, a male adult and a four year old female child were all transported to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
On scene, officers learned that the victim motor vehicle was driving outbound on American Legion Highway when it was struck in the rear by a described, identified suspect motor vehicle. The impact caused the victims\’ motor vehicle to cross the median, roll over and end up resting on its side. The suspect motor vehicle then fled the scene.
During further investigation of this incident, officers learned that the car had been stolen and was subsequently reported as such at District B-2. Boston Police Auto Investigators are examining the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
