ARMED ROBBER ARRESTED DOWNTOWNAt about 10:57pm, on Friday, June 1, 2007, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) were approached by a female who stated that she had just been robbed while sitting on a park bench near the Boston Common. Victim told officers that she was sitting on the bench when an individual (described as a black male wearing a blue-striped shirt) sat down next her, threatened her with a glass instrument and then stole her purse. At this point, the victim was placed in a police cruiser and driven around the immediate area with hopes of locating the suspect. Officers soon located an individual fitting the description provided by the victim. Officers arrested David Robinson, 34, of Roxbury, and charged him with Armed Robbery.
ASSAULT & BATTERY IN JAMAICA PLAIN LANDS TWO IN CUSTODY
At about 2:22am, on Saturday, June 2, 2007, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a call for an assault & battery in progress at the intersection of Centre Street and Green Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victims who stated they were attacked by two Hispanic males. According to the victims, one of the suspects attacked them with what appeared to be a tire iron. According to the victims, they were walking along Centre Street when the suspects drove by yelling and screaming. When the victims yelled back, the suspect vehicle came to a stop and the attack ensued. Victims and witnesses were able to provide descriptions of the suspects and the suspect’s motor vehicle. Officers soon located a vehicle and suspects matching the description provided by the victims. Officers then arrested Jimmy Colon, 21, of Jamaica Plain, and John Domingos Barbosa, 22, of Boston, and charged both with Assault & Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
